Adventure biking is quickly gaining popularity in India, and to meet this rising demand, TVS Motor Company is entering the segment with its first-ever adventure tourer – the TVS RTX 300.
Officially unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, the bike is expected to launch by July 2025, and it has already created a buzz among motorcycle enthusiasts.
Powerful Performance Meets Cutting-Edge Technology
The TVS RTX 300 is designed for riders who love long-distance touring, off-road adventures, and exploring challenging terrains. Under the hood, it features a 299cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivers 35 PS of power at 9000 rpm and 28.5 Nm torque at 7000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch, making gear shifts smooth even at high speeds.
Although the company hasn’t revealed the official top speed yet, it’s expected to reach between 140 to 150 km/h. The estimated mileage is around 30 to 35 km/l, which is competitive in this category.
Rugged Design and Adventure-Ready Build
The design of the TVS RTX 300 is inspired by high-end adventure bikes like the Ducati Multistrada, featuring a muscular body, tall windscreen, and aggressive styling. It comes equipped with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, giving it a tall, adventure-oriented stance.
The bike includes detachable panniers (side luggage boxes), making it ideal for long rides where storage is essential. Its LED lighting improves visibility at night, while the beak-shaped front fender and tall build enhance its off-road appeal.
High-End Features Packed in a Mid-Range Price
TVS has integrated several advanced features into the RTX 300. These include a 5-inch full-color TFT display with smartphone connectivity, call/SMS alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation. It also supports multiple riding modes, cruise control, traction control, and switchable ABS (especially useful for off-roading).
In terms of suspension, the bike offers upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. For braking, it uses disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS, ensuring excellent safety and stopping power.
Competitive Pricing and Target Audience
The estimated ex-showroom price of the TVS RTX 300 is around ₹2.50 lakh, making it an attractive choice in the mid-range adventure bike market. It will go up against bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
This bike is best suited for:
- Riders who enjoy touring and off-roading
- Those looking for premium features at a reasonable price
- Fans of smart, tech-loaded motorcycles
The TVS RTX 300 is shaping up to be a strong contender in the adventure segment. With powerful performance, modern features, and an affordable price tag, it promises to be a solid option for anyone wanting to experience adventure biking without breaking the bank.
However, buyers should note that some specifications and pricing details may change at launch. Always check the official TVS website or dealership before making a purchase decision.
